Mel Adams
Melvin Adams
Melvin Adams was born and raised in Dallas. He studied business at Mountain View (Texas) College and took courses at Dallas Theological Seminary. Mel is employed by Pioneer Services. Jesus Christ drew Mel’s attention in his early twenties and Mel has trusted Christ for salvation ever since. The Lord called Mel to be part Calvary Baptist’s leadership in January 2010. Mel and his wife, Rhonda, live in Lenexa.
Mel’s ministry focus is missions.
Doug Gill
Doug Gill
Doug Gill grew up in Mission with eight siblings and a Roman Catholic upbringing. Due to a deep conviction of sin and a hopelessness without a remedy, Doug trusted in Christ and was born again while attending Kansas State University. He attended The Master’s Seminary, completing his MDIV in 1992. Since then, Doug has worked as an industrial engineer, focusing on lean manufacturing. He is employed by ATK in Independence, Mo. Church life since seminary includes a church plant of seven years. These were fun, grueling years of weekly setups and hopeful hearts. Doug has been attending Calvary since 20xx. He and his wife, Margaret, have a son, Jonas.
Doug’s ministry focus is Assimilation, the task of getting people to line-up and enjoy life with Christ at Calvary.
Mark Maresko
Mark Maresko
Mark was raised in Shawnee and attended Hope Lutheran Church and School. He met his wife, Sarah, in 2005 and they began attending Calvary together. Mark believes that sound biblical preaching and teaching is the most important thing in the church. He served as a trustee at Calvary from 2008-9, and is now an elder overseeing administration and finance. Mark has worked as a draftsman since the age of 18 and recently obtained a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UMKC. Mark and Sarah have a baby girl, Catherine Jean.
Mark’s ministry focus is administration.
Ramesh Mikkilinen
- Ramesh Mikkilinen
Following a dramatic conversation with his aunt, Ramesh was drawn to the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 16 from a Hindu family in Southern India. Ramesh did his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Bangalore University and graduate work in Quality Engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University in Atlanta, GA. He also completed many courses at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. He is currently working at an IT consulting company.
Since his college days Ramesh has been actively involved in teaching and preaching ministries. He joined Calvary Baptist Church, Lenexa in 2000 and has been serving as an elder since 2009. He and his wife, Sreelakshmi, have two daughters, Monica and Satvika.
His ministry focus is Christian education.
Eric Tiffany
- Eric Tiffany
Eric grew up in St. Louis. His father became a pastor during his teenage years. Although Eric believed invChrist as a child, his eyes were truly opened to his sinful state during college. Eric attended Central Missouri State University (now University of Missouri Central) where he met Melinda. They married in 1990, and nine years later the couple traveled to Romania and adopted their daughter, Carmen.
