The Gospel Crier

Beloved:

I wanted to announce a new ministry in which I have been involved. For the last 21/2 years I have been building relationships with area pastors and lay leadership that have expressed a desire to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and build healthy relationships among churches in the Kansas City area. With the help of David Seffens and Dick Paschall, I am in the process of creating an online magazine that is a resource of gospel issues and network for our area churches. This ministry and web page is called “The Gospel Crier.” As the name implies, it will seek to proclaim the gospel with stories, blogs, interviews, video, audio, community events and other resources from a  variety of people and churches. The long-term goals would be to encourage Christian businesses to advertise, thus supporting the ministry so “The Gospel Crier” could plan conferences, encourage partnerships with like-minded churches, publish books and radio program sponsorship.

As the one designing this ministry, I would love for Calvary to help sponsor and support it. There are several churches that will offer support in various ways. My stories and sermons will appear on the web site, thus giving Calvary some exposure. Mr. Paschall works for a company that will design and maintain the site. The startup cost is approximately $3,000. I am asking you to pray about supporting the ministry with a love offering gift. If you  desire, please make your checks payable to Calvary Baptist Church and memo “The Gospel Crier.” Once all of the money is collected, the web site should launch soon thereafter.
